Down Home Delights Restaurant in Eastport

Had lunch with the family. Homemade mozzarella burgers were delicious! Fish was great and their homemade dill dip was fantastic! Was hesitant walking in but this place was great!

We consistently have good meals here. Ribs are my fav also have nice pan fried scallops. Server was very pleasant and food service was fast. This is the best place to eat a home cooked meal while staying in Terra Nova Park area. Selections are limited but always good. Lemon pie was nice as well.

Had a great dinner there with very delicious scallops And vegetables! Will definitely come back next time.

Worst service imaginable. Hostess constantly rolled her eyes every time our group asked for the simplest things, napkins forks, knives. Fish was ok, no where near what would be expected from an outport fishing town. Fries were disgusting and burnt to the crisp. When one if our group mentioned about the fries newer ones were brought out but they were worse again. Green fries from using sunburnt potatoes. There were so many issues some of the group just walked away. Very rude service, bad food. Do yourself a favor and drive by find another establishment. Sign on window said under new management, the new management have some work to do.

Great food around the bay can be hard to find. This place is a hidden gem.

Just perfection. Fast and super friendly service and staff, amazing home cooked food. I can not say enough about how delicious the food was.

This place served me the best fish burger I had in Newfoundland!! On one of the hottest days of the year, the restaurant was nice and cool, with AC, and cold beer. Excellent mashed potatoes - three types of salad and stir-fry vegetables with rice on the menu. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

August 18thHands down best ribs we've ever had. Fall off the bone tender and delicious. Squid rings are done in their own batter recipe and again, some of the best we've ever had. The waitress was super personable and friendly.Had breakfast here two years and was very disappointed to learn they no longer open for breakfast. A definite place to eat if you're visiting the Eastport peninsula.

We just went hours were wrong. Showed up with our newborn in a down pour and they closed early to stain floors. Turned us away even after serving someone a plate of fish and chips. Down home hospitality apparently not on the menu. Don’t expect compassion.

Friendly service, good fish and ok chips. Good, simple, but tasty desserts. Very small menu. Fast service.

I ordered coconut shrip and salad. There were 8 very small shrimp, and the apple and feta salad had little of either, and was also only on Romaine lettuce. The server was very nice as is the dining room, and my partner said his steak was well prepared and tasty.

Food was alright. The pie was great. The service was terrible: half our order was forgotten, without any apology; I had to get up to get my own water refill, and no one checked-in on us.

We stopped here today for lunch and we were very pleased. My wife an I both ordered the pan seared cod with a baked potato and, when they brought us our food it was plated beautifully. It also included a wonderful mix of roasted root vegetables that were a surprise to us because it wasn’t stated on the menu. Our food looked like a dish at a 5 star restaurant. Beyond that, the staff, including our waitress, the chef and the manager were so very accommodating and friendly. They made us feel appreciated and welcomed. Simply put, it was a very special lunch. We strongly recommend you give them a try.

The food so delicious but very overpriced for a.small town place. My guess is taking advantage of all the tourists in the area.

WOW - the food here was so amazing! We had the pan fried cod that was the best we've had since visiting NL! The chef came out to greet us afterwards and told us it was caught yesterday. We could tell. It was so fresh. The server was great too. We followed her reccomdations on what to order and it didn't disappoint. It's a very nicely decorated place in side as well. A highly recommend stop in Eastport!

Nice charming spot with good food. Just stay was needed after a boat tour.

The food was great and very well priced. The servers were very friendly and joked around with all of the kids. The fish was especially tasty. Good local place to stop in for a quick meal. Would recommend for families.

Great fish and chips. One site claimed it only served sandwiches, so we initially passed it by, until we got lost and had to come back.

We go to this wonderful restaurant every year while camping in Terra Nova. Fast service, clean establishment and friendly staff. Please order ahead of time if you have a large group (over 6 peeps).

Great local restaurant serving NL faves like hot turkey sandwich and lots of fish/seafood meals. Restaurant was immaculate and nicely appointed.Prices seemed a bit high at first but when the food arrived the quality AND quantity more than justified pricing. Service was friendly and quick. Food was surprisingly fresh, even sautéed veggies were amazingly fresh and perfectly cooked with just enough bite. Fries were great! We had hot turkey sandwich and the majority of meat was white and definitely good cuts.Plates are HUGE.Highly recommend.Hours on door were advertised as 12-7
